Belinda Harrow - Artist

Only a few weeks until Giant Bingo opens at the Art Gallery of Regina. The catalogue proof and printed invites means a final push to get everything finished. Below are some images from the last winter months of printing and painting.

The last lino block - in the series of three. The hardness of the lino was very hard on my hands.

Last painting in this series - looking forward to seeing them all up at the same time. Making work in my apartment makes it hard to do more than one thing at a time.

Over the last few days I have been going through some of my drawings and paintings from past exhibitions. Estevan Art Gallery will be showing a small survey of my 2D work in April 2013. I came across these smaller studio works that I made in my Brighton studio, Christchurch New Zealand.

In January I took a few weeks off work to focus on making work for my upcoming Art Gallery of Regina show, Giant Bingo. With only a couple months till the opening, I moved between painting and completing the prints for the installation.

Its been a while since I've painted large on canvas. Here is the beginning of a beaver lodge work.

I'm continuing to carve the lino blocks for the letter press. The griddle is making the job much easier.

The final step is to hand stamp the 24 random bingo numbers on each print. This makes each print unique. I'm very excited to see these prints installed in the exhibition.

First set of prints for upcoming Giant Bingo exhibition at the Art Gallery of Regina - April 2013 is ready for hand stamping!

Scott Flanagan "Do You Remember Me Like I Do?"

at the Christchurch Art Gallery Annex at NG. 212 Madras Street. Open 10 - 4 on the weekends!

Scott asked me to contribute to the Rose Collectors Book Project. He mailed me a hand made book to create work in. I sent the completed book back for the exhibition at the Christchurch Art Gallery, in Christchurch New Zealand.

The Bruno Arts Bank is located in the small town of Bruno Saskatchewan (cherry town of the prairies) between the post office and the jail.  We are an independent artist-run coffee shop, record/book store, music/presentation venue, art gallery, mini-museum, and artist residency co-operated by Tyler Brett and Kerri Reid.

I was thrilled to return to Bruno, where I lived as artist in residence for two years from 2002-2004 to install a small exhibition in the Bruno Arts Bank Vault Gallery. Thanks to Tyler and Kerri for the opportunity to revisit old friends and show some of my newer art work.
